Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident
This morning, Saturday, September 25 at 1:39 am, Ridgefield Police officers responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident on Danbury Road (Route 7) near the Route 35 intersection in Ridgefield.
A vehicle was traveling north on Danbury Road when it crossed over into the southbound lane striking a southbound vehicle. Operators of both vehicles, and the passenger in the northbound vehicle had to be extricated and transported to the Danbury Hospital for evaluation of their injuries. The operator of the northbound vehicle was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. The names of the operators are being withheld until notification can be made.
