Last week the Ridgefield Firefighters said goodbye to one of their beloved dispatchers who has completed her time with the Department. "We would like to wish Kasey Brainerd the very best in her future endeavors," they said.
In her own words:
For the past 15 years, I have been one of the faceless, nameless, “anonymous” voices who answers 911, alarm, and routine calls, who you have heard on the radio, and greeted people upon walking into the firehouse. I hope to have had some type of positive impact … I certainly tried.
"You certainly did Kasey Bee. Best of luck. You will be missed," fellow firefighters said.
Thank you, Kasey, for your service to the community. Those "anonymous" voices are the ones that save lives.
