Ridgefield Police Lieutenant Jeffrey Raines was promoted to the rank of Captain

The Ridgefield Police Department is pleased to announce that Lieutenant Jeffrey Raines was promoted to the rank of Captain. Capt. Raines was sworn-in today at Town Hall.
 
Capt. Raines began his career with Ridgefield Police Department in 2004. Thus far in his career, he has held the following ranks and positions- Patrol Officer (2004-2012), Patrol Sergeant (2012-15) and Patrol Lieutenant (2015-2022).
 
Capt. Raines is a department instructor in multiple subject areas and a field training officer. He has been the recipient of the MADD award on multiple occasions as well as the department's Officer of the Year Award (2010). Capt. Raines is extremely active in the Ridgefield Police Benevolent Association and volunteers countless hours of his own time every year for the betterment of the community.
 
Capt. Raines will take command of the Division of Professional Standards.
