Ridgefield Police Officer Carlos Olivares Receives Officer of the Year Award

The Ridgefield Police Department would like to congratulate Officer Carlos Olivares for receiving the 2021 Officer of the Year award.

This award was presented to him by the Ridgefield Exchange Club, at the statewide awards ceremony last night, which was held at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington, CT. Officer Olivares began his career with the Ridgefield Police Department in 2019.

He is a member of the United States Air Force Air National Guard and has been deployed numerous times, in service to our country. Officer Olivares is a proactive, enthusiastic officer, who always puts the community before himself. He continually volunteers his time to participate in PBA events and community policing initiatives, forming positive relationships with all.

Officer Olivares has received numerous letters of recognition from the public, for his dedication and commitment to the community. He’s a great role model, that can always be counted on and an asset to our department. Job well done!
