Last night, Thursday, July 20 at 10:53 pm, Ridgefield Police officers responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident on Ethan Allen Highway (Route 7) just south of Simpaug Turnpike in Ridgefield.
A motorcycle was traveling south on Ethan Allen Highway when it crossed over into the northbound lane of traffic striking a northbound vehicle.
The operator of the southbound vehicle (Schlatter) was later pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone that may have witnessed the accident or has any information is asked to contact Sgt. Caswell at the Ridgefield Police Department at (203) 438-6531.
