Not all heroes wear capes, come drive tow trucks on I-95

Do you recognize this man? Connecticut State Police are looking to identify him because he saved the life of a complete stranger.

Police say it was September 4, 2021, at about 5:25 am on 1-95 near exit 9 in Stamford when the heroic act took place. "This unknown male helped removed a male from a burning vehicle, saving his life," police say.

Police don't have many details so they are asking for the public's help. "The unknown man pictured here is a tow truck operator for an unknown company and stopped at the burning vehicle to help. The vehicle had been involved in an accident and the operator was trapped inside until the tow truck operator removed the man and saved his life."

If you are able to help identify this man, please contact Sgt. Gray at roman.gray@ct.gov or Troop G at 203-696-2500.
