Free Fruit for Westchester Kids

Shop Rite Supermarket has announced that it has expanded it's Kids Club program to all of it's locations. The program provides children with a free snack at the supermarket, and is designed to give youngsters a reason to get excited about  healthy snacks.

The program provides kids 12 and under with a “Kids Club Card,” which can be obtained at the courtesy desk free of charge.  They can present it in the produce department to receive a free piece of fruit such as a banana, clementine or apple while shopping with a parent or guardian.

“We are proud to announce the expansion of the Kids Club program to all of our stores,” says Brett Wing, president and chief operating officer, ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc. “We take great pride in our commitment to providing health and wellness education, encouragement and inspiration within the community, along with the importance of teaching the value of good nutrition habits at an early age. This program is a fun way to educate kids about healthy eating habits.”
