Emergency Response Courses

The Community Emergency Response Team, (CERT) is a basic course that educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills such as Fire Safety, Light Search and Rescue, Team Organization and Disaster Medical Operations. This course will allow residents to assist in neighborhood or workplace emergencies in the even professional responders are not available to help.

Residents interested in taking this course must complete IS317 online course offered in 

Westchester County D.E.S.

All citizens are invited to join and the training is free. Classes commence October 9th at 7:00pm for 8 weeks and a practical class on December 6th from 9:00am - 12:00pm.  To Pre-register fax, e-mail, or mail registration form to:
