The Friends of Crawford Park, a local 501 C-3 volunteer organization that supports the Village of Rye Brook’s 36-acre Crawford Park preserve is hosting a fundraiser on June 1, to support their Pave The Way campaign. This special event, a “Rock Lobster Fest,” will feature a full lobster/clam bake dinner supplied by Powell’s of Harrison, two musical acts and an array of valuable raffle prizes.
Pave the Way is a campaign to raise funds to restore the one-mile walking path in the park to a safer and more aesthetic condition. The Mansion, the centerpiece of the park, is currently undergoing extensive renovation by the Town of Rye to improve access, update the interior and make it a more usable community space. Improving the walkway is not funded by that project. The Friend’s goal of restoring this trail together with the mansion’s updating will make the park more accessible for all.
The Rock Lobster Fest will be held in the park’s pavilion and along with dinner will feature two local musical acts: Julie Corbalis and Schlango Doss.
Tickets are $75 per person and include dinner, wine and beer along with the great entertainment. Raffle tickets are $20.00 for 5.
