Hilltop Hanover Farm loves growing and selling produce, but education is also a crucial part of Hilltop's mission. In 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic forced them to temporarily pause their K-12 School-to-Farm program, but continue to work with students and learners of all ages in multiple ways.
This fall, they welcomed a group of students from Manhattanville College's Clark Scholars program to participate in service learning at the farm. The students, fully embracing the school's tradition of service to the community and social responsibility, spent hours every week in the fields and in the farm stand, learning about agriculture and helping them share the extra bounty with community partners.
