Marla Beth Enowitz, artist and founder of Marla Beth Designs, recently donated 90 of her XO, Marla Beth ‘happy art’ canvases to staff and patients at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), in honor of Valentine’s Day.
“As a mom, I’m touched by the life-changing work performed by the team at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital,” said Enowitz. “The arts are so important for children – as an emotional outlet, growth opportunity and, sometimes, a much needed distraction. My hope is to bring a smile to some of these amazing families and the staff that do so much for them.”
Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital’s Child Life and Creative Arts Therapy program helps children and their families understand and adjust to illness and hospitalization.
Enowitz’s designs, described as equal parts whimsical and sophisticated, are featured in some of the most beautiful homes and businesses throughout the region including The First Bank of Greenwich, The Spa at The J House and a 600 square foot mural at The Westchester. Her acrylics flow intuitively, forming cascading organic drips and stunning marbling effects in vivid hues, evoking happiness and positivity.
