June 26th at 7:00pm:Westchester County Airport Advisory Board to Hold Meeting in Village Hall:
The Westchester County Airport Advisory Board, Chaired by Rye Brook resident Peter Schlactus, will be holding its next monthly meeting at Rye Brook Village Hall next Wednesday, June 26th, at 7:00 PM. The meeting is open to the public and is a great opportunity to show the County (which owns the airport) that Rye Brook cares about airport issues and needs to be consulted in decision making. This monthly meeting is typically held at the Westchester County Airport offices but on June 26th it will be held right here at Rye Brook Village Hall. The meeting agenda will address impactful topics like a proposal to raise airport fees for aircraft, the airport's Master Plan, a noise report and study, and responses to water contamination at the airport that could potentially impact the Kensico Reservoir, which is next to the airport. While time for public comments will be limited, just showing up and signing in will have a positive impact. Members of Rye Brook’s Airport Advisory Council (which next meets on July 11th at 7pm) will also be present and will have a table distributing information about the airport and how you can get involved and stay informed in airport-related matters that affect the community. Attached to this email is aCommunity Information Sheet which provides information about the airport and where to receive additional information. Hope to see you at Village Hall on June 26th!
