Pet Pantry Launches No Go Dog Show Fundraiser

Local business launches a new product to fundraise for a local animal shelter and other local organizations that support Fairfield and Westchester County.

RYE, N.Y., Monday, October 26, 2020-- Pet Pantry will raise money for Adopt-a-Dog and other local organizations with the "Pet Pantry Pack" a specially curated bag of pet products, samples, and coupons from participating brand sponsors retailing for $25. The packs are loaded with value and 100% from sales will be donated to Pet Pantry’s nonprofit partners in Fairfield and Westchester County.
"Each year we sponsor several family fun events at the hyper-local level, these events raise tens of thousands of dollars for critical animal welfare organizations in addition to others that are special to our team and our customers," said Adam Jacobson, Executive Vice President of Pet Pantry Warehouse. He continued, "Not only are these FUN-raising events entertaining for families to attend with their pets, but they provide a place for neighbors to connect and learn about some of the needs in their own community. Attendees always love to take home bags full of free samples of quality pet food and products from these events. So, this inspired us to create a special event package for our retail stores and donate the money we raise."
This year's canceled events included the annual New Canaan Dog Days, the annual Puttin' on the Dog, the annual Howl & Prowl, and the inaugural Fairfield Dog Days. Other local organizations include Fairfield Parks & Recreation, the New Canaan Nature Center, and the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce. Sponsors include Raised Right, Open Farm, Acana, Earth Animal, Orijen, and others.
“The cancellation of events this year has led to a shortage of $70,000 in funds that we desperately need to carry out our mission,” said Kristen Alouisa, Executive Director at Adopt-a-Dog. She continued, “We are so grateful to Pet Pantry Warehouse for holding the No Go Dog Show to help raise money to save the lives of the most at-risk animals. Pet Pantry has always been there for us, and we are proud to be partnered with such a wonderful business that cares so much about their community.”
Custom packs arrived in Pet Pantry stores last week, they were assembled by Pet Pantry’s pet experts and volunteers from Adopt-a-Dog. The pack includes Pet Pantry coupons on some of the retailer’s most popular brands which totals over $100 in value. Customers are advised to call their local Pet Pantry in Fairfield and Westchester County to order Pet Pantry Packs for curbside pickup or for more information on the selection at the nearest location (ppwpet.com/location).
