Local State of Emergency for Scarsdale

A Local State of Emergency is hereby declared in the Village of Scarsdale for a period of time beginning at 5:30 PM today, Friday, March 02, 2018, and continuing in effect until such time as rescinded.

The State of Emergency has been declared in order to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the residents of Scarsdale and is necessary due to emergency conditions resulting from the severe weather event.

I, Stephen M. Pappalardo, as Village Manager of Scarsdale, herein exercise the authority vested in me under New York State Executive Law, § 24, to preserve the public safety and hereby render all required and available assistance vital to the security, well-being, and health of the residents of the Village.

I further declare that all vehicular travel and parking on any street within the Village of Scarsdale is hereby prohibited until the State of Emergency has ended.


To assist residents, the Freightway parking garage is available for parking while the State of Emergency remains in effect. Any storm-related calls should be placed to the Scarsdale Emergency Operating Center at 914-722-1150. Please use the 911 emergency call system for all police and fire emergency calls, or 722-1200 if using a cellular phone. Report power outages to Con Edison at 1-800-752-6633 or by email from www.coned.com.
