2014 Labor Day Weekend Connecticut State Police Accident/Enforcement Statistics
As of the writing of this release, the enforcement action that has taken place:
- 1,681 speeding violations
- 148 seat belt violations
- 3,617 other hazardous moving violations (cell phone, follow too close, etc)
- 35 driving while under the influence
Motor vehicle accidents that have occurred:
- 297 total accidents
- 33 with injury
- 1 fatality. In Chaplin, CT. NOTE Lime Rock Race Track Crash not considered to be road fatal but untimely death.
