TWO WESTCHESTER COUNTY PARKS’ FACILITIES NAMED WESTCHESTER MAGAZINE’S 2023 BEST OF WESTCHESTER

Westchester Magazine’s 2023 Best of Westchester issue named two of Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation’s facilities as the best in the county. 

The publication’s editors hailed the South County/North County Trailway as the best bike path in the Fun & Leisure category, while its readers chose Alfred B. DelBello Muscoot Farm in Somers as the Best Place to Take the Kids (Not a Restaurant).

Westchester County Executive George Latimer said, “Westchester has countless fun and leisure offerings for residents and non-residents alike. Westchester County Parks takes great pride in all of its parks, facilities and programs. To earn this kind of recognition is truly an honor.”

Westchester County Parks Commission Kathleen O’Connor said, “We are thrilled that our 36-mile South County/North County Trailway is immensely well-regarded by so many bicyclists. Muscoot Farm has numerous family events—not to mention its adorable animals—throughout the year. We love that parents and caregivers can take their youngsters there knowing that all will enjoy themselves.”

The Best of Westchester winners stand out as the leading local businesses, shops, restaurants, places and people. A total of 556,000 votes were tallied. The Best Of party was held at Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle, on July 26.
