Author Book Event: Janet Garber, Somers Local Author, presents her latest book, “The French Lover’s Wife”
In Person, Tuesday, May 2, 6:15 PM - 7:45 PM
Janet Garber, a local Somers author, presents her newest book: “The French Lover’s Wife,” a novel centered on Lucie, a smart and sassy girl from NYC, who meets Pierre at a grad student party in 1973. She abandons her PhD studies, runs off with him and their lives take twists and turns. Ultimately, with the help of friends she learns what she truly needs and wants out of life. A heart-warming story by our local author, very involved in local writers groups, and a strong advocate for the Somers Library.
Janet will introduce her newest title, share her journey as a professional writer, present sample readings from the book, and answer participant questions. Copies of her book will be available for purchase from the local bookstore. Light refreshments available.
