Battle of the Books Teams:
The Popcornians and Reigning Readers!
After months of strenuous preparing, the Somers Library two teams - the teen team (7th -10th grade) and children's team (4th - 6th grade) - performed spectacularly well!
The Somers Library children's team had highest number of points in their division going to quarterfinals but lost in semifinals. The Somers Library teen team lost in a dramatic sudden death tie during their semifinal match.
With this year's Battle of the Books Competition being the largest yet (17 children's teams and 16 teen teams) we are exceedingly proud of the outstanding performance of both of the Somers Library teams.
