The New York Blood Center is in critical need of blood donations. The current state of the blood supply is not optimal. Due to many reasons, they are falling short of the blood inventory that is forecast for the hospitals they serve. They have planned shipments to all their hospitals but then also need excess for the many emergencies that occur which include accidents, emergency organ transplants and complications from childbirth delivery. Accidents can’t be planned for, but a safe and adequate blood supply helps mitigate the tragedy. Please consider giving on Tuesday, January 8, 2019.

You must be between 16 and 75 years of age.*
You must weigh at least 110 pounds
*Donors age 76 or over may donate with a note from their physician. 16 year old donors require parental permission on New York Blood Center form (available on-line and at the blood drive).
