Pug Dumped in a box at SPCA and needs your help

Although this isn't the first time someone has abandoned an animal at our doors, it still hurts our hearts every time it happens. To leave a helpless senior dog in a cardboard box, like Charlie, a blind and deaf pug, is absolutely heartbreaking. There wasn't even a blanket inside to keep him comfortable and warm while he waited to be rescued, as he lay inside, scared and confused.

Your support this #GivingTuesday, a global generosity movement that encourages the community to do good, will help abandoned animals like poor Charlie.

Gifts will be matched up to $25,000 thanks to our generous friends at Rock a Soft Place Studio. While #GivingTuesday officially takes place on November 30th, gifts will be matched now through December 31st

Charlie, whose rescue video can be viewed above, was sadly neglected in his golden years and has severe eye and ear infections. It's amazing how gentle and sweet he is with everyone he meets even though he's clearly in pain and can't hear or see. Charlie truly seems to understand that we are here to help him. Like many of the animals we rescue every year, he will need surgery as his eyes have partially ruptured, and extensive medical treatment so that he can start to heal.

Charlie is now getting the love and care he needs at the SPCA, thanks to supporters like you. Your gift this #GivingTuesday is critical so that we can reach our Matching Gift goal of $25,000 to help more neglected animals who depend on us.
