Putnam Hospital Center hosts Cancer Survivors Day community celebration

The cancer committee at Putnam Hospital Center will hold a Cancer Survivors Day Celebration of Life event for the community from 3 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, in the hospital’s MTW Atrium, 670 Stoneleigh Ave, Carmel, NY.

Please join the team to celebrate survivors and their families, as well as to support and inspire those recently diagnosed. There will be music, refreshments and a Tree of Life art display to hang names and heartfelt messages made by students from the Carmel High School Cancer Awareness Club. Guest speaker Christine Cosmos will share her journey from breast cancer to survivorship at 3:45 p.m.

“We look forward to sharing this special day with all of you in showing that there is hope and light after cancer,” said Michelle Tierney, the hospital’s oncology survivorship nurse.

For more information on the event, please call Michelle Tierney at 845-279-5711 ext. 4027.
