Drag Queens + To Wong Foo ~ Celebrate PRIDE at The Bedford Playhouse on June 27!

We've come a long way, baby...
It's been 50 years since the violent police raid at the Stonewall Inn in New York City in 1969, widely regarded as a seminal event in the gay rights movement. In celebration of this milestone, the PRIDE community is hosting events ALL OVER THE WORLD this June -- and Bedford Playhouse is thrilled to be a part of that celebration!

"'They came into the bar. They slammed people against the wall. They shoved people, and they hurled insults that you can probably imagine,' said Mark Segal, 68, who participated in the protests that night."
-The New York Times

Celebrate our differences and celebrate PRIDE on June 27.
We're hosting a one-time-only special screening of the hilarious and groud-breaking adventure, “To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar” starring Patrick Swayze, John Leguizamo and Wesley Snipes. The evening kicks off with a pre-party at Bambi’s Bar in the Playhouse Cafe with great music, cocktails and special guest drag queens — Connecticut’s Queen of Mean, Kiki Lucia and her cohort Miss Frank! Both will mingle, mix, sass and perform with guests througout the party -- and the film!
