Automotive Empowerment Class at Somers Library

Would you like to learn more about your car and how to take better care of it? Here's your chance! In this hands-on class, car repairer and mechanic Jason Dickman wants to help people be more prepared, safe and familiar with their cars. To do this, he will, Discuss each person's interest in their car and what they hope to get out of the class. Give helpful car care guidelines and tips with time for Q & A. List useful car products. Show how to find and check for fuses. Show how to change a tire using a spare and the tools necessary to do it.

Give a touch-up paint demonstration

End Time: 12:00 PM

The class will start out in the Program Room, then move outside to a driveway next to the library where Jason will demonstrate these points on a demo car parked there. Jason Dickman has worked in the automotive industry for over 25 years in various aspects of automobile restoration, dealershop and as a private car collection mechanic. He is currently an adjunct professor at Westchester Community College for two automobile related classes.
