Code Heroes for Teens at the Somers Library

Virtual Presentation - Code Heroes: Design & Code Your Own Adventure
Wednesdays, 11/4, 18; 12/2, 9 & 16, 4:00 - 5:30 pm

Learn to code and change the world with the Digital Arts Experience. Learning to code is about much more than simply creating games. Code can be used to educate our peers and change the world. This program focuses on creating amazing experiences with code to educate our community on the effects of cyberbullying.

Students will address the impacts of cyberbullying and design a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure game that presents a variety of different cyberbullying scenarios. Each group will brainstorm and storyboard their scenarios, create custom graphics, and code their games using Scratch! This program is for grades 6 - 8. The Digital Arts Experience is providing this program in partnership with AT&T and The Westchester Library System and is 100% free!

Registrants are required to attend all 5 90-minute sessions. Space is limited to 10 participants. Registration is required; please register on our online calendar here in order to have access to these meetings. You will receive an invitation prior to the start of the webinar.

Our Programs are funded by the Friends of Somers Library. Thank you for your support!
