Slow Stitching for Stress Relief Tuesday, April 27 & Tuesday May 11, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join Anne Zimmerman and the SOmers Library for her newest stress relieving craft program combining the old American art of crafting "pennies" from leftover fabric using the new idea of "slow stitch": mindfully creating with needle and thread. Using felt, Anne will demonstrate how to slow stitch a modern spin on pennies as well as produce a necklace and a hanging artwork in this two-part program.

The following supplies will be available from the library via curbside pickup: Felt for two projects, gypsy mirrors, embroidery thread, a needle and templates. Please contact the library to arrange a curbside pick-up time! Participants will need scissors and some straight pins.

This program will be virtual. Please register on the library's online events calendar here or call the library at 914-232-5717. You will be automatically registered for both events when you register for the April event. You will receive an email prior to each meeting with a Zoom invitation.
Our programs are funded by The Friends of the Library - thanks for your support!
