Crafts To Go!

Starting Monday, July 26

Stop by the Children's Room during library hours to pick up a self-directed craft to do at home, while supplies last.

A new craft will be available each Monday.

Story Time Tuesdays!

 July 27 at 10:30 am

Under the Tent next to the Library!

Best for ages 2-4 years old.

With Vicki DiSanto- Children's Librarian.

Pajama Story Time

Tuesday, July 27 at 6:30 pm

Under the Library Tent*

Hear stories read by Doris Jane Smith.

Pre-Registration is required for this program no later than by 3 pm on Monday, 7/26. Space is Limited.

Register here  to participate.

Masks covering nose & mouth are required.

*This program will take place over Zoom if inclement weather. An email with a zoom link will be sent.

Outdoor Yoga & Sound Meditation for Kids Grades K-5

5 Sessions:

7/8, 7/15, 7/22, 7/29, 8/5

4:30-5:30 pm

This is a 5- session Outdoor* Yoga Class for children, led by Vivian Lee, a certified Bikram Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Vinyasa Yoga instructor who has also been studying Children's Yoga. 

This program ends August 5. Registration is required.

To join this ongoing program , please contact Vicki or Beth via email at somerskids@wlsmail.org or call 232-5717.

 

Each child MUST bring their own yoga mat, face mask and stuffed animal prior to class start. Class will be held outdoors on the lawn next to the library.*

*In case of inclement weather, a Zoom link will be sent prior to the event.

Story Walk Returns

July 16 - 30

Enjoy the beginning of Summer in the park as you walk in a socially distant manner around the outside of the

library and read 'The Music of Life'

by Louis Thomas.

No cookies this time though...

Grades 3-5 Book Talks

There are still limited spaces available for the following book talks to be held under the Library tent*:

July 28 at 3:30 pm- Children entering Grade 3 will discuss 'Dolphin Rescue' .

Aug 4 at 3:30 pm- Children entering grades 4 & 5 will discuss 'The Wild Robot' .

If interested, please contact Vicki or Beth at 232-5717. Books are available at the library for reading before each meeting.
