Putnam Hospital Center Foundation to honor trustee, Emergency Department at its Moonlight Ball

The Putnam Hospital Center Foundation will honor longtime trustee Joseph DiVestea and celebrate the transformation of the hospital’s Emergency Department at its 2018 Moonlight Ball.

The annual event is Saturday, Sept. 29, on the grounds of Putnam Hospital Center with a cocktail reception at 5 p.m. followed by dinner and a formal program. The gala co-chairs are Karen and James Fleming.

DiVestea is recognized for his leadership and commitment to Putnam Hospital Center. A native resident of Putnam County, DiVestea has dedicated his life to community service, most recently parlaying his financial experience to serve as treasurer of the Health Quest Board of Trustees. He was on the Putnam Hospital Center Board of Trustees from 2001 to 2007, serving as its chairman from 2004 to 2006.

A longtime champion of Putnam Hospital Center, DiVestea was instrumental in working to expand the hospital property to accommodate patient, visitor and employee parking, a critical move given the Emergency Department construction underway.

The gala will also commemorate the tremendous effort put into expanding and refurbishing the hospital’s Emergency Department. The $9 million project adds 8,400 square feet to the existing Emergency Department, as well as the addition of 11 private treatment rooms and separate ambulance and pedestrian entrances.
