Virtual Event: Behind Closed Doors: Shedding Light on Domestic Violence
Thursday, October 6, 7 PM - 8 PM
Behind Closed Doors examines the complex dynamics underscoring domestic violence and the tragic cases that spurred us to change the way we, as a community, responded.
Based on the extreme number of DV homicides in our county, we convened a cross-section of thought leaders and experts—prosecutors, probation, police, mental health, attorneys, advocates and survivors—to form a multidisciplinary approach to increase safety for victims and families, improve offender accountability, and strengthen connections and partnerships.
We will discuss the thinking and planning behind the development of our Domestic Violence High Risk Team and how this model has helped to improve responses in Westchester communities.
