Since the early 2000s, the number of women-owned companies has more than doubled, and almost 50% of 2021’s new entrepreneurs were women, up from 28% just two years earlier.

  • But women entrepreneurs still face extraordinary challenges, especially with raising capital.

  • According to Pitchbook, in 2022 U.S. companies founded by women received only 2% of the total venture capital invested in start-ups.

  • A Bank of America study shows that 29% of women business owners think they’ll never ever have equal access to capital.

  • Women owners also report problems with achieving growth, networking, and improving productivity, according to a recent Staples survey.

  • Overall, 59% of the women business owners surveyed by Bank of America believed they have to work harder than men for the same success.

Participants will

  • Hear from successful women entrepreneurs about how they overcame a wide variety of obstacles

  • Hear about available grants and loans

  • Learn from bank loan officers how to complete successful loan applications

  • Learn what goes into successful business and marketing plans

  • Get constructive feedback on their elevator pitches from experienced business mentors

  • Learn about the latest business tools through live demonstrations

  • Participate in small-group discussion sessions

  • Network with speakers, local business leaders, and other attendees

  • And much more . . .
