Wolves are “mono-estrus” -- breeding only once a year during the winter months. Hence, Valentine’s season is an exciting time for wolves in North America and the WCC too. This year the Center is hosting five critically endangered wolf breeding pairs! Learn about lobo love during a special Evening Howl and enjoy visiting the wolves during their favorite hour - dusk. Guests will also learn about the mythology, biology and ecology of wolves in North America while enjoying a lovely spread of wine and cheese. Guests will take a short sunset hike to howl with Ambassador Wolves Alawa, Nikai and Zephyr and potentially behold the WCC’s endangered red wolves and Mexican wolves too. This program is for adults 21 years old and over. Pre-registration is required.
