Morrissey wont run again for Supervisor in November

The Town of Somers Supervisor Rick Morrissey has announced that he wont seek re-election to a fifth term when his current term expires in November of this year. 

Morrissey said the he plans to spend more time with his family after serving the community for the last 30 years of which the last 7 were as Town Supervisor. He has also served the community as Westchester County’s Deputy Commissioner of Environmental Health, as a Somers councilman, co-chair of the Open Space Committee, and had spent nearly twenty years as the chairman of the Architectural Review Board.
