The 2021 City Nature Challenge Results Are In!

From April 30 - May 3, The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk organized Fairfield and Westchester counties' effort in this year's City Nature Challenge.

The City Nature Challenge is an international effort for people to find and document plants and wildlife in cities across the globe. It’s a bio blitz-style competition where cities are in a contest against each other to see who can make the most observations of nature, who can find the most species, and who can engage the most people.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's challenge!

Here are the 2021 Fairfield & Westchester Results:

Total Observations: 2,707 (#117 out of 419 cities)

Total Species: 718 (#116 out of 419 cities)

Total Observers: 365 (#38 out of 419 cities)
