Maloney Seeks Gold Star Family Member for Position in District Office

Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) announced that he is seeking a Gold Star Family Member for a position in his Newburgh district office. The person selected for the fellowship will handle casework and act as a facilitator between constituents and federal, state, and local agencies.

“Honoring our commitment to care for servicemembers and their families is one of my highest priorities. Their loved ones gave the ultimate sacrifice, and we owe it to them to ensure that they receive the care and services they’ve earned,” said Rep. Maloney. “I’m proud that this fellowship provides employment opportunities to Gold Star Family Members that will allow them to work on issues that are important to members of our community here in the Hudson Valley.”

The Gold Star Family Fellowship Program was established by the U.S. House of Representatives to provide employment opportunities for families of our service members who have paid the ultimate sacrifice to our nation.

Gold Star Family Members are eligible for the program if they meet all the following requirements: must be the parent, spouse, sibling, child, or step-child of a service member who either died on active duty or of a service member who received an Honorable Discharge and died due to a service connected disability within four-years of military separation.

Interested Gold Star Family Members should go to https://www.usajobs.gov/ and search “Gold Star Family Fellowship Program” to apply and for more information.  You can also view the job opening on Rep. Maloney’s Facebook Page
