Amelia Tumolo, 102, of Mahopac, NY passed away on September 2, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Tumolo was born on December 31, 1911 to Vincent and Josephine (Spinelli) Laino in New York City. On July 3, 1934 she married the love of her life, Eugene Tumolo in the Bronx, NY. Mrs. Tumolo was a homemaker and dedicated her entire life to her family.
Amelia is survived by her two loving children; Eugene “Gene” Tumolo, Jr. and Marge Tumolo, three wonderful grandchildren; and six adoring great-grandchildren; Bryan Tumolo, Kyle Owens, Dominic Tumolo, Joseph Tumolo, Robbie Tumolo and Alexis “Lexie” Tumolo . She is predeceased by her beloved husband Eugene Tumolo.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Homes, Inc., 418 Route Six, Mahopac, NY 10541(845)628-5655. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 9:45 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R.C. Church, 1377 East Main Street, Shrub Oak, NY 10588. Interment to follow at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery in Brewster, NY.
