Woman-Owned Local Businesses Hold Free Community Event

The Smith & Clarke Agency and Handle My Books invite the community to attend their "Women of Impact" event on Friday, September 13th at 11AM-6PM at their offices located at 530 Route 6 in Mahopac, NY.

“Though we are separate businesses, our common goal is to help other local businesses and members of the community with their insurance and bookkeeping needs,” explains Toki.

Saini Smith-Clarke and Toki Simmons are coming together to give back to the community. All are welcome to stop by to ask questions about insurance and bookkeeping. Enjoy the best of Puerto Rican cuisine provided by Liz's Authentic Spanish Cuisine with desserts provided by Yasmin's Sweet Treats.

“We will be collecting donations in order to assist and raise awareness for two local charitable organizations,” states Saini. Gas Cards, Postage Stamps, and Recyclable Bottles and Cans will be collected for the Putnam County SPCA. The Putnam County SPCA provides a 24/7 CRUELTY HOTLINE to report cases of suspected animal cruelty: (845) 520-6915. Their responsibilities include enforcing animal cruelty laws, housing animals seized from unfit living conditions, providing essential medical care, and educating the community on how to treat animals humanely.

In addition, a United For Troops collection box will be available to receive donations of snacks, toiletries, sundries and letters for service members overseas. In the past 12 years, United for Troops has shipped over 21,000 boxes. For more information visit www.unitedforthetroops.org/wish-list.

For more information contact Toki Simmons at (914) 562-7774.
