HAT TRICKS BATTLE NEW JERSEY, FALL 4-1 IN CONTENTIOUS CONTEST

The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks of the NA3HL were back in action on Sunday evening and welcomed the New Jersey Titans to Danbury Ice Arena for an East Division matchup. The Titans and Hat Tricks did battle for the first time since opening night for both teams and saw the Titans score three unanswered goals in a 4-1 victory.

The first period saw the Titans score only three minutes in when Ryan Miller netted a shot only 3:24 in. The Hat Tricks would answer with a goal of their own when Reese Tamburo (2) buried a power-play goal when the Hat Tricks were gifted a five-on-three.

The penalties became a theme in this game. The Hat Tricks had Connor Brown and Nick Rogers both get assessed penalties that resulted in the end of their nights, and Brian Lupo was ejected for New Jersey. When it was all said and done, the teams had a combined 23 infractions for 65 penalty minutes on the evening.

The second period saw the Titans score twice in 25 seconds to take their final 4-1 lead. Ryan Miller scored his second of the night and Roland Ponechal lit the lamp to get his team-leading fourth goal of the season.

Next up for the Hat Tricks is a week off, before they return home to take on the Bay State Bobcats next Sunday 10/24. Make sure to check out next game on HockeyTV or on our various social media channels.
