TED TALK: Addiction - Countering the Opioid Crisis at the Somers Library
Thursday, February 7 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.
(Other meetings presenting different topics will be on Thursdays, 3/7, 4/4, 5/2, 6/6, 1:00 - 2:30 pm).

Join host Eugene Ritchie in a discussion after viewing two TED talk speakers who will speak on a this topic. Professor Ritchie's mission is to provide a viewing, discussion, and inspirational forum for library members and the Somers Community of themed TED Talks designed for personal and professional growth. Each program consists of diverse speakers with short presentations of 10 and 20 minutes long.
Speakers for this date are Jan Rader: "In the Opioid Crisis, Here's What it Takes to Save a Life" and Chera Kowalski: "The Critical Role Librarians Play in the Opioid Crisis."
Each talk will be followed by light refreshment. Upcoming Topics are: March 7 - Communications - Language Learning. April 4 - Environment - Global Warming & Climate Change. May 2 - Business - Globalization and Leadership. June 6 - Human Relations - Enhancing Personal & Professional Relationships. Registration is required.
