VolunTEEN: People in Your Neighborhood at the Somers Library

Do you love animals? Do you sometimes wish you could change the world? Sunny Boy is a golden retriever who works as a volunteer dog for Therapy Dogs International, an organization that trains, certifies, and connects service dogs to volunteer in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and other places where emotional support is needed. He will be visiting with his Pawpaw Mr. Michael Jones to talk about life as a community helper. This program is for students grades 6 and up seeking community service hours. Special consideration will be given for 6th and 7th graders. Registration is required; register on our online events calendar or call the library at 232-5717.
