Sugaring Hike: 8 a.m. – 9 a.m.

Join the curator for a hike to see the areas used for the farm's maple sugaring operation.

Sugaring: 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Sugaring is in full swing at the farm. Stop by the sugar shack to see how maple sap is turned into syrup.

Meet the Animals: 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.

Meet and learn about the animals who live at the nature center. Registration by 3/4 at (914) 428-1005.

Learn about the nature of how seeds work, then plant some sunflower seeds and watch them grow at home.

Northeast North America's history comes alive during a demonstration of the origins of this amazing product.

Please bring work gloves. All hand tools will be provided.

Composting Basics: 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Learn how to recycle yard and food waste to produce compost, a valuable soil amendment for the garden.

Create an Edible Bird’s Nest: 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Learn how to make your own edible nest to take home with you, followed by a hike afterwards. Please contact the staff ahead of time if there are any food allergies.

“Shadow Patriots, Lady Spies of the Revolution:” 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
