LATIMER ANNOUNCES SERVICE IMPROVEMENTS TO THE BEE-LINE BUS SYSTEM

County Executive George Latimer announced spring service changes to the County’s Bee-Line Bus System effective Monday, March 9, 2020.  Several enhancements and adjustments will occur this spring to better meet the needs of Bee-Line customers. 

Trips will be added on the Routes 1 and 2 to serve one of Bee-Line’s busiest corridors, between the Bronx and Getty Square in Yonkers. There will also be an additional northbound trip on the Route 40 to serve the Westchester Community College and Westchester Medical Center. 

Latimer said: “Improving customer convenience and serving major travel corridors and destinations remains a high priority for the Bee-Line system. These changes are responsive to many of the issues we have heard from riders as we aim to enhance our service.”

Service changes will go into effect on the following Bee-Line bus routes: 

ROUTES  1 and 2: There will be several changes. Please check our website for updated schedules.

 

There will be additional weekday southbound morning service between 5:40 a.m. and 6:20 a.m

There will be a southbound weekday Route 2 trip added from Main and Mill Streets at 5:39 a.m. 

There will be additional weekday service to Tudor Woods on the Route 2 between 5:24 p.m. and 6:48 p.m., and schedule adjustments to the Routes 1 and 2 during this time.

The Saturday southbound Route 1 trips leaving White Plains at 1:41 p.m., 2:41 p.m. and 3:41 p.m. will leave 15 minutes later.  There will be minor Saturday morning schedule adjustments.

ROUTE 4: 

There will be minor Saturday schedule adjustments.

ROUTE 15: 

There will be minor weekday and Saturday schedule adjustments.

ROUTE 20:

There will be minor weekday southbound schedule adjustments.

There will be southbound schedule adjustments between 10:55 a.m. and 12:51 p.m., and 7:21 p.m. and 7:34 p.m. on Sundays.

There will be an additional Sunday southbound trip from Fort Hill Road at 8:52 p.m.

ROUTES 40 and 41:

The Route 41 7:20 a.m. weekday northbound trip will now serve Westchester Community College and Westchester Medical Center.

The Route 41 southbound trip from Grasslands at 4:55 p.m. will be changed to a local Route 40 trip that ends at Mt. Vernon Station.
