The Town of Somers Tax Receiver would like to remind residents that the the 2020/2021 School Tax Bills have been mailed and are the 1st half payment is due by 9/30/2020 with the 2nd Half due by 1/31/2021. (This current bill you receive in the mail is the only one being sent out and it is incumbent upon the taxpayer to remember to send the second half payment by the due date,)
Ways to pay:
Online payment is now available through the Town of Somers website: They are now accepting ACH and Credit Card payments through their online website. Please follow this link https://somers.municipaltaxpayments.com/ to make your payments from home.
Online Bill Pay through your Bank: Many banks offer online bill pay. You can pay your taxes this way by initiating the bank to mail a check in for your taxes. Just make sure it is made out to Michele McKearney, Receiver of Taxes, include your bill number and address in the memo portion of the check and mail in time to be received by 9/30/20.
Drop Box: There is a drop box outside the side door of the Town Hall. Drop box hours are Monday- Friday from 9am-4:30pm. Please make sure to include your phone number and indicate if you would like a receipt mailed to you once processed.
Mail: When using the post office please make sure that your payment is postmarked by September 30th. If paying on the last day please have the post office hand stamp your envelope.
In Person: If you MUST pay in person or are paying with CASH, please come through the side entrance of the Town Hall. You will need to fill out a COVID-19 Visitor Questionnaire and Contact Tracing Log.
