Byrne Easily Defeats Keegan To Retain Assembly Seat

New York State Assemblyman Kevin Byrne (Incumbent - 94th District. R,C-Mahopac) has earned a third term in Albany with a resounding victory over Democratic challenger Stephanie Keegan (D-Somers), according to unofficial election results. 

As of 5:38 pm today and with 100 percent of districts reporting in Putnam and Westchester Counties, Byrne defeated Keegan with more then 64% of the vote.

Byrne received 35,748 total votes spread out across the Republican (59.6%), Conservative (5.8%), SAM (0.6%) Independent (0.77%) and INP Party (0.16%) lines while Keegan received 20,613 votes (34.4%) solely on the Democratic ticket, a difference of over 15,000 votes.
