Registered Sex Offender Arrested And Charged With Multiple Counts Of
Possessing An Obscene Sexual Performance By A Child
Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr. reports the arrest of Shawn Waters, Age 34, of 29 Oak St in the Village of Brewster, New York. The arrest came after an investigation by members of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation into the online possession of images of child sexual abuse material. On December 13, 2018, members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at 29 Oak St, Apartment 2, in the Village of Brewster and seized multiple electronic devices. Waters was interviewed and arrested after images and videos of obscene sexual performances by children were located on one of the electronic devices allegedly in his possession. Waters was transported to the Sheriff’s Office and charged with ten counts of Possessing an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child a Class (E) Felony. Waters was arraigned in front of the Honorable Gregory Folchetti in the Town of Southeast Court and remanded to the Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000/$50,000 Cash/Bond.
