NY State Police report that State Troopers stationed at Troop K in Somers removed 28 impaired or drunk drivers from area roadways over the July 4th weekend. (July 4th through July 7th) Listed below are several of those arrested in the area.
On July 4, 2019, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Alex Martinez, age 19, of Hicksville, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 22 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On July 5, 2019, State Police from SP Stormville arrested Tamaya Nelson, age 27, of Poughkeepsie, NY, for DWI. She was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Yorktown, when she was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On July 5, 2019, State Police from SP Hawthorne arrested Lenny Reyes, age 23, of Woodhaven, NY, for Aggravated DWI with a prior conviction, a class E felony. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of North Salem, when he was involved in a one car motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On July 6, 2019, State Police from SP East Fishkill arrested Ashley M. Rivera, age 26, of New Britain, CT, for DWAI Drugs. She was traveling on Interstate 84 in the town of Southeast, when she was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed she was under the influence of drugs, and was subsequently arrested.
On July 7, 2019, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Alan Rubin, age 55, of Brewster, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on Main Street in the village of Brewster, when he was found disabled due to a flat tire. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On July 7, 2019, State Police from SP East Fishkill arrested Johanna Schrader-Fentress, age 49, of Brookfield, CT, for DWI. She was traveling on Interstate 84 in the town of Kent, when she was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
On July 7, 2019, State Police from SP Dover Plains arrested an eighteen-year-old, for DWI. The subject was traveling on State Route 22 in the town of Pawling, and stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed the subject was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
