Byrne Provides Hand Sanitizer to First Responders of Yorktown

Assemblyman Kevin Byrne (R,C,Ref-Mahopac) was joined by Yorktown Supervisor Matt Slater and Yorktown Councilman Ed Lachterman in providing hand sanitizer to first responders in Yorktown on Friday, June 19, 2020.


Assemblyman Kevin Byrne (R,C,Ref-Mahopac) delivered hand sanitizer at the Yorktown Police Department, alongside Yorktown Town Supervisor Matt Slater and Yorktown Councilman Ed Lachterman on Friay, June 19, 2020. A total of 24 one-gallon bottles and 200 two-ounce spritzer bottles were supplied. The sanitizer was accepted by Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps Captain Rick Davin, Yorktown Heights Fire District Department Chief Derek Grisanti and Mohegan EMS Lieutenant Ashley Lape.

            “During these difficult times, it is important that we take care of those who are working hard to take care of our communities,” said Byrne. “Our amazing first responders, our police, fire, and EMS, are all there when we need them most. It’s important they have the necessary tools to take care of themselves so they can take care of others. As we start to re-open New York, it is crucial we continue to practice safe habits so we can stay healthy and safe. That means we must also stay clean. Thank you to all our first responders for continuing to sacrifice so much in order to keep our communities safe.”

            Assemblyman Kevin Byrne is the ranking member of the Assembly Health Committee and represents the 94th Assembly District, including portions of Westchester and Putnam Counties.
