Wrestling a Great White Shark at The Mairtime Aquarium

What looks like a scene from “Jaws” is really just staff of The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk moving a Fiberglas model of a great white shark. The model is a cast of a 16-foot great white caught in the eastern end of Long Island Sound in the early 1970s. It has hung in The Maritime Aquarium for many years, but was removed Oct. 30 to make way for construction of a new second-floor in the Aquarium’s Maritime Hall wing.
