You're IT Canaan Technology!
Four questions with David Felton founder of Canaan Technology.
Why did you start your business?
I started Canaan Technology in 2001 with several guiding principles that are still core to our business today: provide clients with an exceptional experience, offer products with a proven track record, hire smart people with a passion for technology, and organically grow through referrals and partnerships. We take the time to understand the role of Technology in our client’s environment and then customize a solution that fits their technical needs and budget. Our clients include Small and Medium Size Businesses, Healthcare, Non-profits, K-12 Education, Retail, and Municipalities.
Finish this sentence in regard to your business. “I wish I could…”
I wish I could always be successful in conveying to prospective and current clients our unwavering commitment to creating a long term relationship based on trust and integrity. This is what sets us apart from our competitors - we believe if we are invested in our client’s success, our client’s will be invested in ours.
Proactive Cybersecurity, Preventative Maintenance, and Network Monitoring is our bestselling service. This bundle improves our client’s Cyber-defenses, provides compliance with regulations such as HIPAA, ePHI, PCI and SOX, and includes tools that enable us to anticipate and prevent problems before they occur.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
We try to support local businesses as often as possible whether it is selling Datto Backup and Disaster Recovery services, purchasing materials from MRI, using McIntyre Group for staffing, or buying bagels and bialys from Uncle Leo’s for our bi-weekly company meetings.
Canaan Technology is located at 30 Belden Avenue in Norwalk. Visit them online here.
