Gilbertie’s Herbs & Garden Center will once again be the place to be for the Westport Winter Farmers’ Market. The winter market opens Thursday, November 18, from 10-2, and will run every Thursday (except Thanksgiving) through March 10.
“We’re really excited to return to our favorite winter spot,” said Lori Cochran-Dougall, executive director of Westport Farmers Market (WFM). “This will be an open-air market held throughout three greenhouses. Your favorite summer vendors will continue to provide high-quality locally grown or raised fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, milk, baked and prepared foods, and handmade items consumers have come to expect from WFM.”
As in other years, WFM will kick off the season with a celebration. Bubble and Brew and Parlor Pizza will set up their trucks outside the greenhouses. Luke Molina will play music and Mae Farrell will entertain the kids in the Get Growing program with a nature-inspired craft.
“As always, we have some fun things up our sleeve and promise to make this winter shopping experience festive!” said Cochran-Dougall. “We can’t wake to welcome everyone indoors!”
