An Afternoon with Carly Simon will benefit Connecticut Literacy Non-Profit Read to Grow on November 13

 

Singer-songwriter Carly Simon will celebrate the release of her memoir Boys in the Trees in a benefit presentation on November 13 in Madison for the nonprofit Read to Grow.

The event, at the First Congregational Church of Madison at 26 Meetinghouse Lane (on the Green), will feature a conversation about her book and a book-signing.

Each $65 ticket includes a paperback copy of her memoir. Reservations are required. ($50 of each ticket is a tax-deductible donation. Official acknowledgment of donation will come from Read to Grow following receipt of ticket payment.) Tickets will not be mailed. Please allow time to get your tickets and books at the door before the presentation begins. Ms. Simon will sign books after her talk.

Read to Grow is an early children literacy nonprofit based in Branford but serving the state. Over 16 years, it has given more than 1.5 million children’s books and reached over 900,000 children, many in low-income and at-risk families.
