The Treetops Crew Discuss Monhegan Island, Maine and Plein Air Painting on Thursday, April 4

The Treetops Crew, a group of seven Connecticut artists, will talk about the unique landscape of Monhegan Island, Maine and Plein Air painting. The Treetops Crew includes painters Tom Adkins and Rick Daskam of Southbury, Jim Laurino of Burlington, Cathy Liontas of Milford, Ed Magnotti of New Haven, George Manning of North Haven and Bob Noreika of Rocky Hill. They will discuss how the group formed over their fascination with the rugged natural beauty of the island and their keen interest in Plein Air painting. They will describe their techniques and use their artwork as examples.

The Treetops Crew's paintings of Monhegan Island, Maine will be exhibited in the Southbury Public Library's Gloria Cachion Art Gallery from April 5th through April 30th, 2019.

The program will be in the Kingsley Room from 6:30pm -7:30pm. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library. Registration is required. Call the Reference Desk at 203-262-0626 x130 or stop at the desk.
